Jamie Hillman is a multi-faceted musician who is active as a singer, pianist, conductor, music educator, and composer. He currently serves as an assistant professor of music at Gordon College in Wenham, MA, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate music education courses and directs the Gordon College Choir and Men's Choir. As a Boston University (BU) Prison Arts Scholar and faculty member of BU's Metropolitan College/Prison Education Program, he has co-initiated a music and arts program at a large, medium-high security men's prison in Massachusetts.

His recent engagements as tenor soloist include Messiah with Clark University Chorus & Orchestra, Nathaniel Dett’s The Chariot Jubilee with the Nathaniel Dett Chorale and Windsor Classic Chorale, Saint-Säens’ Christmas Oratorio with the Rosebud Masterworks Choir, Haydn’s The Creation with Laudate Dominum Choir & Orchestra, and Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass with the Studio Cantorum Choir & Orchestra (Indonesia). He can also be heard regularly on the Sunday morning radio show, “Songs for the Heart.”

Dr. Hillman is an examiner for Conservatory Canada and has adjudicated and guest conducted at festivals, and presented at conferences, throughout Canada, the United States, and Southeast Asia. His co-editorial work includes numerous editions of Arabic, Asian, Latin American, and Western choral pieces published by Earthsongs and Hinshaw Music.

Dr. Hillman holds an associate diploma (ARCT) from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto), and degrees from the University of Western Ontario, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Boston University. Dr. Hillman is the 2012 laureate of the Leslie Bell Prize for Choral Conducting from the Ontario Arts Council.

Hillman lives outside Boston, MA with his wife and young son.
